It is essential to know the evolution of exhibitions over the years, because the designer will be able to be inspired by movements, trends, practices, in order to be able to make his own combinations and original proposals. The evolution of exhibitions since antiquity, the buildings that hosted exhibitions, the ways of organizing exhibitions and displaying objects, the relations between exhibitions and collectors and visitors are analyzed. In order to be original, the curator needs to know the history of exhibitions because history is not abandoned, but used with new applications and proposals.
